Screen Printing – Industrial Printing for Various Materials
What is Screen Printing and How Does It Work?
Screen printing is an industrial printing method that involves transferring an image onto a material using a screen stencil through which ink is applied. This technique is divided into two main types:
✔ Direct screen printing – ink is applied directly onto the fabric or garment.
✔ Transfer screen printing – the design is first printed on paper and then transferred onto the final product.
This printing method is widely used in textile, promotional, and industrial printing due to its high durability and cost-effectiveness for large-scale production.
Advantages of Screen Printing
✅ Ideal for large production runs – quick and efficient printing of bulk orders.
✅ Cost-effective for high volumes – the unit price decreases with larger orders.
✅ Highly durable prints – screen-printed designs can withstand up to 50 washes while maintaining quality.
✅ Versatile for various materials – applicable to almost all types of fabrics and garments.
✅ Sharp and detailed printing – allows for fine details and thin lines in designs.
Limitations of Screen Printing
❌ Minimum recommended order: 50 pieces – not cost-effective for small batches.
❌ Only vector graphics can be used – raster images or photographs are not suitable.
❌ No gradient color transitions – smooth color fades cannot be achieved.

Screen Printing Technology – How Is It Done?
Screen printing involves pressing ink through a stencil onto the material. After applying all colors, the product undergoes a heat treatment process, ensuring the ink is properly set and long-lasting.
There are three types of direct screen printing:
Plastisol inks – offer excellent color vibrancy and durability.
Water-based inks – provide a softer feel, suitable for eco-friendly printing.
Discharge printing (acid printing) – removes dye from the fabric, creating a natural print effect.
